rumsfeld has a big theory: well diversified arm forces, through right trainings and equiped with right stuff, integrated into right war execution capacities...reducing dependence on number of troops to deploy, well u.s. armed forces were always meant to be able to fight in two battle fileds at the same time.
rumsfeld's theories were not very well perceived by many in the u.s. military and were tested in the two recent wars.
the u.s. army and the corp did not encounte rmuch resistance
at the invasion because they already bought off the iraqis commanding officers on the side. well applied sun-zi strategies
as a god example (defeat the enemies withought fighting)
however, he found himself and all tax payers to figure out how to keep an effective occupation in the territory of occupation. it does take a large number of troops to keep
effective occupation and maintain orders. the troops are not well trained for long term occupation nor are they equiped to deal with the human bombs...
in addition to afganistan, the u.s. armed forces are already taken in two battle fileds, this is why north korea is taking chance to play its game and kept raising the stake.
now, this is where guys like you come in: fall for the reserve thing and then die for the country where a few crazy ones
running the military. i myself had enough even just to pay for the wars with the tax dollars, not to mention to pay with lives...for FK what? gas price is still high!
