The key responsibilities are:
- Development, tuning and testing of SQL views for the extraction of new content into the team feeds.
- Ab Initio development and testing to support the addition of new content into the team feeds.
- Involvement in 4th-level support for the team feeds plus ongoing support of feeds in test systems.
- Packaging of team releases and production of the associated release documentation (including release notes and DIPs)
- Attendance at Blue/Red/Production entry/exit meetings.
- team performance – ensuring that overall system is continually enhanced to ensure that team Search and team Generic Partial & Full Extracts are kept within agreed timings.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Software development experience in an Oracle environment (5 years minimum).
Experience of taking ownership for full delivery of software releases
Excellent SQL knowledge and experience.
Knowledge and experience of use of metadata/Control-Data driven systems is essential.
Ability to understand complex technical issues quickly and assess the impact of change.
Excellent communication skills – both written and oral.
Experience of Defect tracking and version control systems
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Ab Initio knowledge/experience.
Java knowledge/experience.
UNIX scripting
SQL Tuning Experience
