Job description:
• Perform systems analysis, design, development, maintenance and ongoing support in a Cognos BI
• Develop reports using Cognos Report Studio and Analysis Studio Go! Office
• Develop Excel and PowerPoint templates and use Cognos Go! Office to embed refreshable reports within these templates
• Assist with the creation of me<x>tadata models using Framework Manager
• Validate report content for accuracy before release to users; investigate and resolve data issues
• Ensure all project related documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and current
• Troubleshoot and improve performance of Cognos reports
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cognos related issues
• Be an enabler who can demonstrate Cognos capabilities to customers, giving them innovative solutions.
Required
• 8+ years of IT experience
• Expertise in following tools and technologies
o Cognos 8/7 - 4+ years
o Cognos 8 (Framework Manager, Report Studio, and Query Studio) - 3 + years
o Cognos Office Connection/Go! Office - 1+ year
o Advanced SQL Skills, including search query
o Expertise in creating me<x>tadata models and packages using Framework Manager
o Expertise with creating Excel and PowerPoint templates and using Cognos Go! Office to embed refreshable reports within these templates
o Migration of Cognos 7 to Cognos 8
• Excellent knowledge/experience in Dimensional Modelling
• Good understanding of Datawarehouse/Datamodelling principles
• Good Business/Information Analysis skills, with ability to decipher customer requirements and translate into a business solution, driving the business forward with innovation
• Strong customer liaison skills with a consulting approach with ability to work with all levels of personnel
• A self starter attitude with the ability to work with and juggle shifting deadlines and priorities and multiple projects
Required
• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years experience in Cognos
• English: Fluent
• Chinese simplified: Fluent

• Master's Degree
