Job Title
Commodity Manager in Greater Asia Region Purchasing
Shenzhen office
(Circuit Board & Component, OEM)
Responsibilities:
- Implementing World-wide & Regional sourcing strategies at local
sites by utilizing world-
class purchasing processes to manage the sourcing for manufacturing
products & services in Asia.
- Participating in the development of local sourcing strategy as
required.
- Managing or directing the management of Kodak's relationships with
suppliers in Asia with
focus on productivity; product & service quality; delivery & cycle
time; & total delivered cost.
- Working with the client to provide up-to-date and complete
specifications for products
/services to be purchased. Issue a clear request for quotations or
utilize reverse-auction as a quotation tool. Analyze bids and select
suppliers in co-operation with the client.
- Participating in the client's key management meetings and providing
client with inputs on cost, supply, and other business issues early
enough to effectively influence sourcing decisions.
- Ensuring day to day compliance with Purchasing policies, practices
and procedures, including the maintenance of an auditable trail of day to
day purchasing transactions.
- Submitting necessary reports and participating internal team meetings
as required.
- Provide constructive input to the team and the purchasing
organization to enhance operations and process improvement.
- Good teamwork player
- Willing to travel within Asia region
Requirements:
- University graduate & with strong technical background in
Science/Engineering disciplines
- Strong business sense and willing to dedicate to the job.
- Over 5 years managerial/project management experiences in procurement
function & with
experience in sourcing commodities (mechanical components, electronics
components, electronics manufacturing services etc.). Preference to
candidates possessed solid knowledge with sourcing or manufacturing
experiences of one or more of the followings:
· PCBA (has design experience is an advantage)
· bare printed circuit boards and FPC (experience with multi-layers or
HDI)
· miniature power circuit boards
· wireless communications devices
· electronic components, esp. in
§ flash units
§ IC (programmable devices, ASIC, drivers, linear, etc.)
§ general semiconductors devices (e.g. transistors, diode, etc.)
§ CCD or CMOS
§ AFETG
§ LCD
§ connectors
- Ability of managing a business portfolio, formally develop and
negotiate contracts.
- Understand material supply chain, basic quality concept and capable
to implement commodity
strategy plan and benchmarking activities.
- Experienced in a multinational company
- Good PC skills, fluent in English and Putonghua (spoken & written).
Having Japanese speaking and writing capability is an advantage

experience in multinational companies. Among those working experience,
the ideal candidate should spend at least 5 years in high volume printer
industry and gain deep exposure in printer industry supply chain.
- Preference to candidates possessed solid knowledge with sourcing or
manufacturing experiences of one or more of the followings will be
advantages:
· Mechanical components such as precision plastic and metal parts
· Turning and Machining parts
· Rubber rollers
· PCB assembly
· Paper movement sub-assembly
· Contract manufacturing
- Ability of managing a business portfolio, formally develop and
negotiate contracts.
- Understand material supply chain, basic quality concept and capable
to implement commodity

- Work in a multinational company
